Well, there was a lot of sex and it was good sex. The things I really liked, maybe even loved? Consequently, it took forever to finish because I just didn't care 🤷
I didn't love this book, I just read it and felt very little about it, to be honest. There were things I really liked about it, there were some mediocre things, and then there was this overall style of storytelling that just blanketed the whole thing, dampening the entire experience. The only thing there was more of in this book than steamy sex was internal monologuing ☠️ Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.

Anyway, what I came here to say is for a person that doesn't watch women's soccer, I was riveted by each and every plot point in this book.Īlso, I guess everyone has issues dating? Thought it was just straight women confused about men. Yes, they suck, but also sorry not sorry, there is not a lot of eye candy. I know the USWNT is so so so much better than the USMNT. I mainly watch for eye candy, but get sucked into the tournament every four years. To be fair, my dumbass was introduced to the World Cup in 2010 and things moved from there. Meryl and Casey McQuiston write the best F/F. Not that I bought any of these, because I've been lucky enough to win ARCs of each of their three novels, but I couldn't tell you which one I like best.
